The aim of this study was to validate the student discussion engagement scale among students of the University of Tehran. The student discussion engagement scale, conceptualizes discussion in the form of a group question and answer that requires an understanding of the overall atmosphere of a class and the participation of individuals who enhance/facilitate/boost the engagement of others. The scale assesses students' behavior and experiences in the classroom in four areas, namely their skills, self-confidence, openness to discussion, and perception of the overall atmosphere. The study included 403 students of the University of Tehran from different study areas and stages, who were selected through random sampling. The students were asked to fill out a survey online, which included questions about discussion engagement, academic engagement, general self-efficacy (GSES), and the classroom learning environment (CLC). The data were examined in several steps, including item analysis, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, convergent validity, divergent validity, and reliability. This was done in order to ensure that the analysis produces accurate and reliable results. The item analysis revealed that all items were adequate in terms of the descriptive criteria. The exploratory factor analysis identified four factors after removing two items. This suggests that there are four underlying factors influencing the students' engagement in classroom discussions. The confirmatory factor analysis also supported the factor structure identified in the exploratory factor analysis. This suggests that the Student Discussion Engagement (SDE) scale has convergent validity, divergent validity, and good reliability. This means that the scale can reliably and accurately measure students' engagement in classroom discussions.

Perceived partner responsiveness (PPR) is a construct that can help evaluate intimacy in couple therapy. However, research on PPR has been hampered by the lack of a standardized measurement in this field. The purpose of the present study was to translate and examine the factor structure, invariance, validity and internal consistency of the Perceived Responsiveness and Insensitivity (PRI) scale among Iranian samples. The statistical population of the present study was the married teachers of Zanjan province in 2021-2022, and 429 teachers in total participated in this research through judgmental convenience sampling. Descriptive statistics and confirmatory factor analysis, graded response model, parallel analysis, exploratory graph analysis and bootstrap analysis were used for data analysis. The findings demonstrated that the factor structure of PRI in Iranian society is similar to the study of Crasta et al. (2021); that is, PRI consisted of two sub-scales. The fit indices of the scale and factor load of the items were optimal both by gender and in the whole sample. The findings related to the invariance of the scale in different models also indicated that the meaning of the items is the same for men and women. Analyzes based on Item-Response theory showed that the items derived for the PRI short form in this study, which should indicate the most information, were inconsistent with the short form derived from Crasta et al.'s (2021) study. Alpha statistic, composite reliability, AVE index and diagnostic validity of PRI scale were also optimum. The findings related to convergent and divergent validity also indicated the significance association of PRI with other variables. In general, the PRI scale showed optimized psychometric properties, which indicated its applicability in the Iranian society and its consistency with the cultural norms of the country. However, in the present study, there was a possibility of weak diagnostic validity of the two constructs in this scale, especially for the group of women, which should be investigated in future studies with a larger sample size.

Abstract: The detrimental effects of peer rejection during childhood have made research in this area a necessity. The main step in each research is to have a valid and reliable questionnaire for the culture of that society. The main purpose of the present study is to examine the psychometric properties (determination of factor structure, validity, and validity) of the rejection scale of Wiesel, Sarid & Sternberg (2013). The research design is correlation. The statistical population is taken from 6th-grade elementary school students of Kermanshah. The total number of the participants is 311 students which were selected by the random cluster sampling method. Exploratory factor analysis extracts 4 components which were confirmed by first-order confirmatory factor analysis. Second order confirmatory factor analysis showed that these four components can be categorized into one concept. In sum, our peer rejection scale after a little modification showed suitable reliability and validity and can be used among Iranian students.

The purpose of the present research is to restructure, validate, make reliable and normalize math self concepts scale. in testing research, 812 students from Malards high school were participated. Method:In this study, the items of math self concept restructured scale was analyzed with discriminant index and loop method. The reliability of scale was investigated with split-half method and coefficient alpha, then construct validity, criterion validity and discriminant validity were investigated. Investigating construct validity, we use factor analysis , and also investigating discriminant validity, math anxiety scale (from Betz) was used, because there is a negative relation between math self concept and math anxiety. Investigating discriminant validity, we use a difference between 3 course of education in students. T and Z scores were used for normalization of scale. Findings:Reliability of this scale was 0/898 and discriminant validity was meaningful, that is show a meaningful difference between 3 courses and confirm discriminant validity of this scale. Result of construct- related validity shows 3 factors in this scale. The restructured scale can be beneficial for students in choosing their course of study and for measuring their affective to math.

Background: Young Researchers Club of Islamic Azad University plays a major role in Iran’s education system with the purpose of helping young Iranian talents to thrive and prosper, identifying young researchers, and supporting, fostering and guiding them in order to promote their knowledge and reveal their creativity. Objective: Considering the key role of this institution, the present research aims to carry out an internal evaluation of the Club so that a documentary and scientific investigation of the current status of the Club and the distance it has with its predetermined goals could be conducted. Therefore, after the inputting, processing, and outputting goals were identified, 10 factors consisting of 30 criteria and 83 indicators were provided at three levels of ‘undesirable, relatively desirable, and desirable’ with respect to the Organizational Elements Model and the viewpoints of the internal evaluation committee. Method: At the next stage, 2 questionnaires were used to survey 1093 people including heads and members of the Club by employing codified factors and indicators. After sampling the collected data which involved a complete census (for heads) and random sampling (for the Club members), the data collection process was carried out. Results: Using descriptive statistical method for the status quo, input, process, and output factors were evaluated as ‘relatively desirable’. It can be concluded that, in general, the Young Researchers Club is in a ‘relatively desirable’ status. Discussion and Conclusion: In addition to determining the Club’s status and the distance it has with its goals, revealing the strengths and weaknesses of the Young Researchers Club of the Islamic Azad University can be a starting point for the qualitative improvement of the status quo. This research is the best document to be used by the Club in order to plan the necessary changes. This can be possible only when all units across the country make contributions, since applying changes and efforts to make promotions and transformations are collaborative processes, just the same as evaluation.
