The purpose of this study was to determine the degree of attention of the national curriculum document to the student’s assessment in physical education. The research was applied in terms of purpose and content analysis in terms of method. The statistical population was the national curriculum document that all parts were purposefully selected as a sample. The research tool was a checklist prepared by the researcher and its content validity was confirmed by 5 experts and its reliability was confirmed by calculating Scott's agreement coefficient of 0.93. Descriptive statistics was used to show the frequency of results; Reliability of the findings was obtained using four criteria of reliability, transfer ability, reliability and verification the content with 20 units equal to 33% with the highest frequency and the assessment tool with 1 unit equal to 2% and the lowest frequency was identified. Also, Principles of assessment with 16 units, equal to 27%, assessment policies with 8 units, equivalent to 13%, purpose with 5 units, equal to 8%, assessment method and assessor with 4 units, equal to 7% and time assessment with 2 units, equal to 3%, were identified. The national curriculum document had relative but unbalanced and uncoordinated attention to the components of assessment in physical education

Teachers are the main pillars of universities and improving the quality of their performance, contribute to the improvement of education quality. One of the processes in order to improve the quality is the evaluation of teacher. This study aimed to determine and evaluate the factors affecting the quality of teaching faculty and it provides a method for its evaluation. The study population is undergraduate students of School of Economics at Allameh Tabataba'i University in 1395 that gave their views about 50 members of faculty. Six students per faculty member were randomly selected that led to 300 questionnaire. Structural equation modeling was used to assess the measurement model, structural model and 6 hypothesis and research data analysis was performed using Amos 22. After performing the appropriate tests to confirm the model and calculating standardized regression coefficients, academic ability was the most effective and discipline and training requirements were minimal impact on the quality of teaching faculty. The findings also show that students are satisfied of educational quality of faculty members of the School of Economics at Allameh Tabataba’i University. At the end, some suggestions are provided to improve methods of evaluation of teaching faculty members.

The complex process of assessment enforces EFL teachers to make professional decisions conforming their classroom realities to external non-achievement factors. EFL teachers have based the decision for scoring on their knowledge, beliefs, expectations, and learning. Therefore, the present study aims at investigating high school EFL teachers’ decision making as to scoring in Tehran. Factors influencing their decision making in scoring have been taken into account. To collect data required, a questionnaire was distributed among 348 senior and pre-university EFL teachers of high schools in Tehran. Descriptive analysis of the data revealed that the teachers consider both achievement factors and non-achievement factors such as students’ effort, assignment, and study habits in their scoring. It was also shown that EFL teachers used different types of assessment like performance assessment, assignment-oriented assessment teacher—made assessment and paper and pencil tests. Separate MANOVAs revealed that different external and internal factors such as the grade level of teaching, assessment training affected their scoring. Generally, the findings of this study contributed EFL teachers in their decision as to scoring and particularly EFL teaches in Tehran high schools.

Background: ‘E-portfolio’ is a collection of digital and electronic documents showing the students’ progress and academic achievement in a course or lesson. Objective: The present research aims to study the effect of using e-portfolios on self-regulation learning strategies adopted by the students. Method: The research method was that of quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design. The statistical population included all the students of the Faculty of Education and Psychology of Allameh Tabataba’i University in the second semester of 2012-2013. Using convenience sampling method, 2 MA classes were selected as the sample population. Each class included 18 students randomly divided to experimental and control groups. The Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire by Pintrich and De Groot (MSLQ) (1990) was used to measure the subjects’ self-regulated learning strategies. At the beginning of the semester, both groups were taken a pretest in the same circumstance. Then, the experimental group was exposed to the independent variable for one semester. At the end of the semester, a posttest was applied on both groups to examine the changes. An analysis of covariance was used to analyze the collected data. Results: The results showed that the self-regulation learning strategies of the experimental group had increased significantly compared to that of the control group. Conclusion: Therefore, it can be concluded that an e-portfolio is an instrument for teaching, learning, and assessment by which learners become motivated to have more activity and, consequently, reach more achievements in learning and acquiring the related skills.

The purpose of this study was to assess and evaluate the E-learning course of industrial engineering at Khajeh NasirddinToosi University. The research population included all the industrial engineering students and instructors at Khajeh NasirddinToosi University. The sample comprised 61 (51 students and 10 instructors) who were selected purposive sampling method. According to a review of global experiences, a checklist designed and applied. By analytical and descriptive statistical methods, it was found that the E-learning course of industrial engineering at Khajeh NasirddinToosi University could be relatively a suitable programme. These findings which may have some implications in designing E-learning course, are discussed in fully in this paper
