Abstract

This research was conducted to develop the Iranian version of moral dilemma scenarios. The form consists of twenty scenarios, each presenting a moral dilemma. In every scenario, a hypothetical situation is described, requiring participants to make an ethical decision based on the given context. This form is based on the most widely used and well-known ethical dilemma scenarios in the field. Exploratory factor analysis revealed that the scenarios can be categorized into four distinct factors: 1. Personal dilemmas with low conflict, 2. Personal dilemmas with high conflict, 3. Impersonal dilemmas with low conflict, and 4. Impersonal dilemmas with high conflict. The overall reliability of this form was 0.72, which falls within an acceptable range. The reliability coefficients for each factor were 0.71, 0.61, 0.70, and 0.70, respectively. These results demonstrate that the Iranian version of the moral dilemma scenarios possesses satisfactory psychometric properties, making it suitable for use in ethics-related research.
