This research is aimed at a meta-analysis of research on the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapies in reducing students' psychological problems. The statistical population is research that has relatively similar questions about the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapies and their method is either experimental or quasi-experimental. By reviewing the history, 28 articles were found. All of these articles were from 2011 to 2015. Of these, only 16 reported well-reported statistical results. The mean test p was selected for combining the test results and the Cohen effect size method was used to achieve the total effect value. The findings of the study indicated that the average size of d in the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapies in reducing students' psychological problems was 1.067. By converting the average d to z values in a normal distribution curve, the normal curve cover level was 0.86, which is relatively high. The significance level of the calculations was also 0.01 and the overall effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapies was confirmed in reducing students' psychological problems

Meta-analysis can provide comprehensive results and make future researchers needless to spend time and cost on duplicate research. The purpose of this study was to provide computer-assisted education on learners's academic performance. The statistical population consisted of studies that were available from 1390 to 1395 at home and from 2010 to 2016 abroad as a full-text article in internal and external databases. The checklist of the research designs was used to collect the information. In order to analyze the data, sensitivity analysis, Funnel analysis, fixed and random models and heterogeneity analysis using CMA software were used. Data analysis of the research showed that computer-assisted education has a positive effect on academic performance. Also, the effects of computer-assisted education on academic performance varies according to sampling methods, but there is no difference in gender. Regarding the results of meta-analysis, it can be said that using computer-assisted education is more effective in academic performance.

Understanding the psychological characteristics and factors and provoking the anxiety of death in today's living conditions, as well as its psychological events and consequences are among the topics discussed in psychology. Many researches have investigated the relationship between different psychological factors and death anxiety, but sometimes their results are inconsistent and contradictory and, on the other hand, explanatory variables have not been thoroughly investigated in this regard. Meta-analysis is a set of systematic techniques for solving contradictions in the findings of various researches on a subject. The present study was conducted to investigate the relationship between psychological factors and psychological factors and death anxiety in a meta-analysis method. At first, using all the internal databases as well as the universities of Tehran, we started to collect all the research reports. Finally, the results of 44 studies conducted between 2009 and 2011 that were the criterion for entering the meta-analysis were analyzed. The results of the meta-analysis showed that the size of the combined effect of the studies in the static effects model was 0.018 and in the randomized model -0.022, where the size of the combined effect in both models was low, but it was observed separately in the study of the effect size of the variables. The variables of irrational beliefs, control source, job burnout, cognitive fusion, self-actualization, self-determination, meaning, life expectancy and neuroticism are medium-sized. Therefore, it is concluded that knowledge of death plays an important role in various theories including fear management, existential therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy. Among them, the theory of fear management is a theoretical, leading and influential approach to death anxiety that can explain these variables.

Present research studies performed thesis about academic failure between academic years 1990-2012 in Tehran Universities. Within related projects, 55 projects which had information necessary for analysis were selected as final sample. CMA-2 software was used for calculating Coefficients. Results of Q test showed that primary studies are not homogenous and studying Nfs showed that there isn’t protection of distribution within studies. Dual and Toidi correction test was performed for both constant and random models. Measure of total effect for all studies under both constant and random models, was gained statistically meaningful. Also, measures of effect in separation of distribution year, sampling method, sex of sample, education program, research method and factors affected on educational slump were gained statistically meaningful. Average of effect measures was 0.312 and educational factor, with effect measure higher than average, showed the most effect on educational slump. The results showed that variables of education, socioeconomic, individual factor, family factor and sex factor had the most effect on educational slump respectively. Also, studying hypotheses showed that there is meaningful difference between effect measures of educational slump according to year of research, sampling method, sex, education program, meaningful level, factors being effective on educational slump and research method.

The aim of the present research was the meta-analysis of the studies that investigate the link between job stress and organizational variables in Iranian research studies. Data collected from 78 studies conducted from 1993-2013 and was analyzed then the effect sizes of the relationship between stress job and organizational variables were computed. Findings revealed that the combined effect size for fixed model was 0.16 and for random model was 0.17, which both were small effect sizes (J. Cohen, 1997). Further meta-analysis showed that the interpersonal conflict, work-family conflict, organizational effectiveness variables had significant large positive effects size on job stress. We checked for Publication bias and heterogeneity of effects. the results showed no bias but due to heterogeneity of effects, demographic and methodological variables were examined .Findings revealed that sampling, kind of job, kind of studies and Measuring tools could moderate the relationship between job stress and organizational variables as the moderator effects. The overall results suggested that Organizational variables that lead to feelings of loss of control or social support or self-efficacy have a stronger relationship with job stress. This suggests that further investigation is needed.

Abstract Background: Over the past two decades, many researchers have examined the effect of teaching learning strategies on educational improvement of students through experimental and quasi-experimental studies, which yielded different results. Thus, it is essential to use meta-analysis study to resolve discrepancies and present a general result. Objectives: The present study aims to combine quantitative results from different studies concerning causal relationship between learning strategies and educational improvement. Methods: To do so, the quantitative findings of 28 researches were used and their effect size was calculated as 53. The studies used in this research were conducted in and collected from different universities and research centers including Shahid Rajaee University, Shahid Beheshti University, Tarbiat Moallem University of Tehran, University of Tehran, Alzahra University, Allameh Tabataba’i University, Tarbiat Modares University, Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz, University of Shiraz, University of Isfahan, University of Tabriz, Institute of Educational Studies, Iranian Research Institute for Scientific Information and Documentation, and databases of Magiran, Noormags, and SID. After analyzing entry and exit criteria, Statistical indicators of the selected researches were analyzed using CMA version 2. Results: The combined results showed that teaching learning strategies had a significant effect on the educational improvement of both male and female learners. Therefore, it can be concluded that gender does not have a moderating role on the relationship between teaching learning strategies and educational improvement. Conclusion: Given the results of the meta-analysis on the large effect size of teaching learning strategies on education improvement, as well as the existing theories such as the theory of metacognition and information processing, it can be concluded that teaching learning strategies can be effective on the indicators of educational improvement of learners.

The purpose of this research was to combine the quantitative results of the researches related to the students' math performance. For this purpose, all studies which have been done in Iran from the year 1381 to 1388, were collected, using the quarterly and scientific-research articles. In general, 40 cases of them, had meta-analysis measuring features, in particular the effect size measuring feature. The Hodges’s method has been used for metaanalysis and the Cohen’s method has been used for interpreting the findings. The results indicated that there is a significant relationship between math performance and selfe-fficacy, self-regulation, motivation, goal orientation, learning strategies, teaching methods, cognitive styles, reading styles, gender, and perception of the class structure. Among the mentioned variables, self-efficacy was found to be the best predictor of students’ math performance due to its high level of variance.
